Last century Linnet records in the winter were few & far between with odd birds now remaining although how many seeds are in the shriveled up Blackberries for them ?
More Red-throated Diver offshore in recent days with southbound 28 & northbound 113. Also offshore southbound 15 Brent, 3 Oyk & Curlew + 6 Common Scoter sat on the sea. 24 Sanderling on the beach first thing with 3 Turnstone & Purp on the jetty & 5 Ringos nearby. Great Spotted Woodpecker dropped in late morning, 8 Long-tailed Tit passed through & 6 Mipit were on the reserve.
