Ringing Recoveries
Willow Warbler ringed Tyrone, Northern Ireland 22nd July 2023 retrapped 649 km away at LBO 8th August 2023 suggesting it was reared in Northern Ireland near the catching site & caught on passage at LBO.
Chiffchaff ringed Fordham, Norfolk 17th September 2023 retrapped 95 km away at LBO 2nd October 2023.
Blackcap ringed LBO 14th September 2023 retrapped 124 km away two days later at Icklesham, East Sussex 16th September 2023 having lost 1.98 g which is roughly 15 % of it body weight migrating between these two locations.

Lot quieter this morning although still some interest with the likes of southbound 168 Goldfinch, 78 Swallow, 16 Cormorant, 15 Mipit, 8 Grey Plover, 7 Dunlin, 7 House Martin, 4 Skylark, 3 Chaffinch, 2 Common Gull, 2 Sandwich Tern, 2 Siskin, 1 Brent, 1 Kitt & 1 Purple Sandpiper with northbound 4 Gannet, 2 Sandwich Tern & Arctic Tern. On site migrants included a small handful of Chiffchaffs, Blackcaps, 2 Goldcrest, 2 Wheatear, Redwing, Song Thrush plus 2 Cetti's including a 5th one ringed so far this week which is totally unprecedented.
