Winds from the North and East today produced a small arrival of migrants but nothing to shout about really. Albeit very quiet.

Arrivals were 36 Meadow Pipit, 9 Swallow, 6 Wheatear, 4 Chiffchaff, 3 Grey Wagtail, 2 Yellow Wagtail, 2 Blackcap, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Willow Warbler and 1 Sparrowhawk.

Sea watching produced 40 Wigeon, 11 Common Tern, 6 Sandwich Tern, 5 Teal, 2 Pintail, 2 Ringed Plover, 2 Gannet, 1 Cormorant, 1 Bar-tailed Godwit and 1 Gadwall.

Wheatear on the sun baked parched nature reserve today.

Ringing: 9 birds ringed this morning including 3 Meadow Pipit, 2 Grey Wagtail, 2 Chiffchaff and 2 Blackcap.
