A blustery morning making observing far from ideal. Nil birds ringed gives one a good indication of how exciting it all is. The highlights on the reserve are 2 Wheatear, Whinchat & Tree Sparrow. Very little going past offshore or overhead with a grand total of just 5 waders, 2 Yellow Wags & a Fulmar going south. A Painted Lady is worth a mention amongst a paltry selection of records on the pad to write up. Is the depressive tone of this blog due to the lack of birds or the ineptitude of the observers down here when it comes down to re finding the Spanish Sparrow ?
