Another respectable dose of new migrants in today including 50 Blackies, 30 Redwing, 10 Songies, 10 Robins, 10 Wheatear, 5 Black Reds, 4 Skylark, 3 Goldcrests, 3 Blackcaps, 3 Chiffchaffs, Willow Warbler, Firecrest plus a couple of new Mipits, Starlings, Wrens, Goldfinch & Chaffinch passing through. Offshore Brents 102 N 42S, Wigeon 52N, Golden Plover 40 in off, Red-throated Diver 6N 8S, Whimbrel 1N 1S & Pomarine Skua 1S. Also good to see the number of Linnets on the reserve is slowly increasing at last as we know, from ringing recoveries, that quite a few go down to Spain for the winter. Late pm news of both Cuckoo & Ring Ouzel later in the day.
