Bright 'n breezy. A pleasant assortment of birds heading south including 52 Swift, 20 Common Tern, 17 Swallow, 15 Oyks, 12 Dunlin, 11 Sand Martin, 9 Whimbrel, 8 Golden Plover, 8 Redshank, 7 Teal, 7 Common Scoter, 6 Ringed Plover, 4 Barwit, 4 Turnstone, 3 Shoveler, 2 Mallard, 2 Lapwing, Grey Plover, Greenshank, Green Sand, Common Gull plus 49 Common Scoter heading north. The Green Sand is fairly notable here & is not a species one encounters very often whilst sea-watching. The bushes were very predictable with the ringing attempts a waste of time. Loads of butterflies about the site at the moment.
