Reasonable selection moving this am. Going south 80 Wigeon, 52 Brent, 45 Red-throated Diver, 10 Gadwal, 9 Shelduck, 8 Shoveler, 5 Great-crested Grebe, 2 Mallard, 2 Dunlin & Red-breasted Merganser plus going north 14 Red-throated Diver, 8 Pintail, 5 Teal, Great-northern Diver & Pochard. At least 3 Redwing & a Fieldfare are on site. A Woodcock trapped was a bit on the skinny side weighing in at a mere 244.3 grammes (according to the BTO ringers app the weights are in the region of 245 to 405 g range with the average 325 g) so it needs to fatten up a bit - is it a new arrival from colder conditions on the continent ?
