The Starlings gathered to form a flock of approximately 500 birds this morning, they were feeding on an emergence of small insects.
A turnover of birds has taken place on the reserve, the Lesser Whitethroat and Whitethroat from previous few days have now moved on, Wheatears have reduced down to 3 but Willow Warbler have increased significantly with 35 seen during the morning. Other migrants noted, 1 Blackcap & 1 Sparrowhawk.
Offshore at the point 48 Common Tern, offshore passage going South 48 Swallow, 3 Oystercatcher, 2 Grey Heron & 2 Sandwich Tern.
