The first Firecrest of the year is plum on cue. A handful of common species moving through as illustrated by the new birds ringed but otherwise migrants hard to come by. Single Grey Heron, Jackdaw & Mipit went south with offshore movements being southbound 12 Shelduck, 10 Brent, Common Gull, Curlew & Red-throated Diver with northbound 13 Brent, 8 Red-throated Diver, 7 Gannet, Bonxie. At least 1 Snow Bunting still with us.
Milder night so a few more moths appearing including Oak Beauty.
Ringing: 5 Long-tailed Tit, 2 Great Tit, 1 Blue Tit, 1 Dunnock, 1 Firecrest, 1 Robin.
