A rainy start didn't really turn into the wet morning we were predicted, as is often the case here. However, it did seem to dampen the migration, with barely any warblers observed, and much reduced wildfowl and swallow passage. A pair of chaffinch between the observatory and the mine station, were the most notable passerines, which really says it all.

Barred Red is common in coniferous plantations but has only visited Landguard a half dozen times in the past.
