Despite a blustery and showery morning, a couple of interesting migrants were on site. First was a nice male redstart out on the reserve, which was joined late morning by a nice male ring ouzel. A handful of migrant warblers were still around, many singing, including willow warbler and chiffchaff. 17 sanderling were on the jetty in the afternoon, surprisingly for a weekend afternoon, as the beach is often too busy for waders to stop at. 2 wheatears remained along with the other regulars, singing black redstart, Cetti's warbler and both whitethroats. 2 continental type song thrushes dropped in during the day plus a Cuckoo appeared late pm.
