Migrants moving through were 1 Tufted Duck, 2 Cormorant, 1 Grey Heron, 5 Oystercatcher, 4 Dunlin, 4 Whimbrel, 1 first-summer Little Gull, 1 Sandwich Tern, 6 Arctic Tern, 1 Rook, 1 Carrion Crow, 126 Swallow, 12 House Martin, 1 Yellow Wagtail and 3 Goldfinch. Warblers present were 3 Blackcap, 1 Lesser Whitethroat and 5 Common Whitethroat. There were 2 Northern Wheatear out on the reserve. 6 birds were ringed today; 3 Blackcap, 1 Common Whitethroat, 1 Linnet and 1 young Blackbird. Butterflies found included Small Copper and Green Hairstreak.
