Wheatear
Pleasant start, bright with a moderate SW breeze which slowly increased through the morning; most of the interest involved birds moving south which comprised 3 Woodlarks, 2 Skylarks, 23 Swallows, 48 Meadow Pipits, 2 Grey Wagtails, 5 House Martins, a Jackdaw and 3 Rook.
In the bushes 4 Chiffchaffs and 4 Blackcaps were about it.

A very unexpected second site record of Fischer's Estuarine Moth was in the traps this morning; it is a Red Data Book species given special protection under Schedule 5 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act
