Very quiet today, with a strong north easterly wind. Some of the recent arrivals, lesser and common whitethroats, still present, as were the wader flocks at the point. 2 bar-tailed godwits flying north was the most exciting movement seen all morning.
Moths were slightly more interesting, with a lovely specimen of a Swallow Prominent present. This species lives on poplars, of which the observatory has quite a few. Still a nice moth to look at, with a more than usually sensible name.
