Light southwesterlies this morning. A Nightingale was singing first thing and was accompanied by a nice selection of migrants; 15 Willow Warblers, a Redpoll south, 17 Wheatears, a Jay, the male Ring Ouzel, 3 Chiffchaffs, 15 Blackcaps, a Yellow Wagtail, a female Redstart, 3 Whitethroat and a Tree Pipit that headed south after being on the Common. There were also 5 Whimbrel heading south and a party of 39 Curlew heading north.
24 birds were ringed; 10 Willow Warblers, 5 Blackcaps, 2 Robins and single Chiffchaff, Linnet, Whitethroat, Wheatear, Greenfinch, Nightingale and Ring Ouzel.
