A breezy day with the wind from the North then North-east. The star birds of the day were a Yellow-browed Warbler that was in the Compound and a Red-rumped Swallow that flew south in the early afternoon. Other birds of note were 9 Robin, Reed Bunting, 3 Yellow Wagtail, 6 Song Thrush, 6 Wheatear, Whinchat, 20 Chiffchaff, Whitethroat and 9 Blackcap. Viz mig involved southerly passage of 19 Meadow Pipit, 2 Grey Wagtail, 13 Siskin, Brambling, Yellow Wagtail, 17 Swallow, 3 House Martin, 4 Goldfinch and 2 Skylark. Offshore 68 Teal, 158 Brent Geese, 197 Wigeon and 11 Pintail headed south and 38 Brent Geese and 5 Mallard flew north.
34 Birds Ringed; 11 Chiffchaff, 5 Greenfinch, 4 Blackcap, 2 each of Song Thrush, Great Tit, Dunnock, Meadow Pipit & Blue Tit and single Whitethroat, Sparrowhawk, Robin & Chaffinch.
